DIRECTOR, CLIENT STRATEGY (MEDIA DIRECTOR)
As the senior strategic lead and business owner across a portfolio of high-impact client relationships, you will bridge the gap between client business objectives and integrated marketing execution, ensuring every engagement drives measurable growth while strengthening long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic lead and primary business owner across a portfolio of accounts
- Design and guide multi-channel strategies across Paid Search, Social, Programmatic, Video, CTV, YouTube, Retail Media, and emerging platforms
- Translate client KPIs, unit economics, and growth goals into structured media investment frameworks and budget allocations
- Lead executive-level client engagements including QBRs, annual planning sessions, and high-stakes strategic presentations
- Identify same-store growth and expansion opportunities while partnering with Business Development on new opportunities
- Own account health metrics including retention, revenue growth, profitability, and delivery quality
- Ensure all deliverables meet strategic standards, align with SOWs, and drive measurable impact
- Partner closely with Analytics teams to operationalize MTA, MMM, incrementality testing, and advanced measurement frameworks
- Drive structured test-and-learn roadmaps that unlock performance gains and future-ready innovation
- Act as the connective tissue between media, analytics, creative, and client leadership to ensure seamless, integrated execution
- Lead and mentor channel team members, fostering accountability, growth, and high performance
- Elevate internal processes, planning rigor, and strategic storytelling standards across the organization
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and technology shifts to proactively guide client evolution
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in media, marketing strategy, or integrated client leadership
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-channel accounts with full-funnel strategy ownership
- Strong financial acumen, including budget forecasting, revenue management, and profitability oversight
- Demonstrated ability to lead executive-level client conversations and influence senior stakeholders
- Deep understanding of measurement frameworks including attribution models, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling
- Experience translating business objectives into integrated media, creative, and data strategies
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity into clear, actionable narratives
- Strong organizational leadership skills with experience balancing strategic vision and operational execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience

Pay
The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $120,000 – $140,000, based on factors including skill set, experience, education, certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, and geographic location. The total compensation package includes benefits and an annual performance bonus.
This role has an associated annual target bonus component based on Company performance, department performance, and individual performance. Bonuses are not guaranteed and require active employment in good standing.
Schedule
This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US. While remote, office hubs are available in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York for collaboration and events.
