RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS), Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, are seeking a Director (Chief) for the Division of Anatomic Pathology. This leadership role provides the opportunity to oversee clinical, research, and academic programs, guide faculty and residents, and advance the Division of Anatomic Pathology at a premier academic medical center within New Jersey’s largest integrated health care system.

Position Highlights

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Division of Anatomic Pathology
  • Oversee surgical pathology, cytopathology, autopsy pathology, and immunohistochemistry services
  • Guide faculty and residents in clinical, educational, and research missions
  • Ensure clinical governance, quality assurance, and accreditation compliance
  • Provide patient care services while supporting institutional and system-wide missions
  • Implement strategic initiatives to grow and enhance the Division’s programs

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or MBBS degree required
  • Board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP
  • Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and academic experience
