Director, Business Unit Administration
About the Role
The Division of Student Affairs is seeking to hire a Director, Business Unit Administration for the department of Campus Health Services. This position oversees administrative, human resources, finance, and budgetary activities, providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Direct finance and business services administration, including budget preparation, analysis, and forecasting.
- Assist the Senior Director with budgetary recommendations and future obligations.
- Analyze and audit systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and effective business management.
- Oversee accounts receivable and revenue cycle management to maximize revenue collection.
- Leverage healthcare talent management solutions for recruitment, hiring, and retention.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate budgeting, accounting, purchasing, and human resources processes.
- Oversee central billing office activities and ensure compliance for reimbursement of services.
- Participate in the Student Affairs Lead Business Team and Campus Health Services Lead Team.
- Supervise six full-time professional staff.
- Assist with Division initiatives and operations as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and eight (8) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
- Experience in accounting or finance management in a collegiate healthcare setting (preferred).
- Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience using Workday HRIS software (preferred).
- Track record of ensuring accuracy in documentation and adherence to procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience.
- Ability to work well within a team.
Work Hours and Location
This is a full-time, exempt position with a 37.5-hour regular workweek. Additional hours may be required based on department needs. The primary work location is at Cardinal Station, adjacent to L&N Stadium and near the Belknap Campus.
