We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes intro about mission, but we need to follow rules: Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and

for prose. Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it. Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Output ONLY the HTML fragment — no /, no markdown code fences. Thus we need to decide which sections to include based on content. We have: - Intro paragraph about mission, etc. Could be "About the role" or maybe "About the company"? The instruction says headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we can use About the role for the introductory description. - Responsibilities: we have "Key Responsibilities" bullet list. So we can create

    Responsibilities

    with
    • each bullet. - Requirements: we have "Basic Qualifications" and "Preferred Qualifications". Those could go under Requirements or Qualifications. The instruction includes Requirements and Qualifications as possible headings. We need to decide which to use. Probably combine basic and preferred under Requirements? Or separate? The instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So maybe one section "Requirements" containing both basic and preferred qualifications as lists. - Benefits: we have mention of benefits package, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, discretionary bonus, stock-based incentives, PTO. So we can have Benefits section. - Pay: we have salary range: $205,615.00 - $266,090.00. Also mention discretionary annual bonus, stock-based long-term incentives. So we can have Pay section. - Schedule: we have flexible working policy: two days remote, three days onsite. Also location info: based in Santa Monica through 2026, relocation to El Segundo or Thousand Oaks beginning Jan 2027, also can be based out of El Segundo, Thousand Oaks, Foster City. That's schedule/location. Could be Schedule section. We must not include filler placeholder text. All content is specific. We must remove boilerplate: EEO, legal, accommodation, polygraph notice, etc. Also remove application instructions like "For Current Kite Pharma Employees and Contractors: Please apply via the Internal Career Opportunities portal in Workday." Also remove social media links? Those are maybe not boilerplate but could be considered navigation? The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. Social media links maybe navigation; but they are not essential. Safer to remove them. Also remove "Kite is a biopharmaceutical company engaged..." maybe that's about company description; could be part of About the role? It's substantive about company. Keep. We need to preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep details like relocation timeline, flexible work policy, location options, salary range, benefits details, responsibilities list, qualifications. We must not repeat the job title as a heading. The job title is "Director, Business Strategy & Operations". We must not put that as heading. We need to output only HTML fragment. Let's craft sections:

The Director, Business Strategy & Operations reports to the Vice President and General Manager, US Commercial, and serves as a strategic and operational partner focused on improving organizational effectiveness and business impact. The role leads business strategy, planning, operating cadence, executive decision support, and organizational effectiveness, partnering across US Commercial to translate priorities into coordinated action and measurable outcomes. This role is based at Kite’s Santa Monica, California, headquarters. Kite is transitioning from its current Santa Monica headquarters, with employees expected to relocate to our El Segundo, CA or Thousand Oaks, CA office beginning in January 2027. While this role will be based in Santa Monica through 2026, applicants should take this planned relocation into consideration. Kite supports a flexible working policy, offering a balanced approach with two days of remote working and three days working onsite. This position can be based out of El Segundo, CA, Thousand Oaks, CA or Foster City, CA.

That covers location and schedule info; but schedule section maybe separate. However we already included schedule info in About the role. Could also create Schedule section. But we might avoid duplication. The instruction: Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So maybe keep schedule info within About the role, and not create separate Schedule section unless needed. However we have schedule specifics: two days remote, three days onsite. That's schedule. Could be separate Schedule section. But we already have location and schedule in About the role; maybe we can keep it there. But we also have Pay and Benefits sections separate. Responsibilities section: list each bullet. Requirements/Qualifications: we can have Requirements section with basic and preferred. Let's extract responsibilities bullets: - Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager (GM), synthesizing complex information into executive-ready insights, recommendations, decision materials, and Board-level communications. - Translate strategy into priorities, roadmaps, performance measures, operating rhythms, and actionable plans, driving strategic initiatives from development through execution. - Lead annual strategic, financial, resource, and headcount planning, including coordination of the consolidated Plan of Action. - Design and manage leadership governance, planning cycles, quarterly business reviews, and accountability mechanisms that enable timely decisions and disciplined execution. - Coordinate enterprise and functional initiatives across US Commercial, aligning ownership, resources, dependencies, risks, sequencing, and measures of success. - Represent US Commercial in enterprise and global planning forums, shaping broader decisions and translating enterprise direction into clear commitments for the US business. - Track business performance and commitments, identify barriers, and drive mitigation, course correction, productivity, and process improvements. - Lead planning and execution for major GM-sponsored meetings, including National and Midyear Meetings. - Partner with commercial leadership to coordinate cross-functional readiness for anticipated US product launches. - Advance organizational and leadership effectiveness by improving how the organization operates, collaborates, communicates, and makes decisions. - Develop high-impact communications for leadership meetings, business reviews, all-hands presentations, and internal and external audiences. - Serve on the Kite Commercial BS&O Forum, ensuring alignment between Commercial Strategy & Operations priorities and US Commercial planning and execution. That's a list. Now qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Advanced scientific degree (i.e., MD, PharmD, PhD) and 8+ years of experience OR - Master’s Degree and 10+ years of experience OR - Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience Preferred Qualifications: - Significant pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical experience leading complex strategic and operational initiatives; experience in commercial, finance, or consulting is preferred. - Ability to translate enterprise strategy into practical plans and deliver results with rigor, accountability, and attention to detail. - Strong executive presence, judgment, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills, including the ability to lead without direct authority. - Demonstrated enterprise mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity, connect cross-functional priorities, and manage competing trade-offs. - Experience with business planning, financial and resource analysis, project management, and product profit-and-loss considerations. - Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful, with strong emotional intelligence, curiosity, and a continuous-improvement mindset. - Demonstrated experience driving organizational transformation and operating model effectiveness, including leading change management and adoption across complex, matrixed environments. - People Leader Accountabilities: (list) - Create Inclusion - knowing the business value of diverse teams, modeling inclusion, and embedding the value of diversity in the way they manage their teams. - Develop Talent - understand the skills, experience, aspirations and potential of their employees and coach them on current performance and future potential. They ensure employees are receiving the feedback and insight needed to grow, develop and realize their purpose. - Empower Teams - connect the team to the organization by aligning goals, purpose, and organizational objectives, and holding them to account. They provide the support needed to remove barriers and connect their team to the broader ecosystem. We need to keep People Leader Accountabilities as part of Preferred Qualifications? It's under People Leader Accountabilities heading but it's part of qualifications. We'll include as sub-bullets under Preferred Qualifications. Now Benefits: - The salary range for this position is: $205,615.00 - $266,090.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*. For additional benefits information, visit: https://www.gilead.com/careers/compensation-benefits-and-wellbeing Eligible employees may participate in benefit plans, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. We need to separate Pay and Benefits sections per instruction. Pay section: salary range and maybe mention bonus, stock-based incentives? The instruction says never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. It does state salary range, bonus, stock-based incentives, PTO, benefits package. So we can have Pay section for salary range and maybe variable compensation (bonus, stock). Benefits section for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO? But PTO is also part of benefits. However we could put PTO in Benefits. The Pay section could include base salary range and mention that actual compensation will vary based on factors, plus discretionary annual bonus and stock-based long-term incentives. Benefits section: company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, life insurance plans, paid time off, and reference to benefits info link. We must not include placeholder text like "varies". The posting says "These considerations mean actual compensation will vary." That's not placeholder; it's a statement. It's okay. Now Schedule: we have flexible working policy: two days remote, three days onsite. Also location info about relocation. Could be Schedule section. But we already placed location in About the role. However we could move location details to Schedule? The instruction says we can have Schedule section for schedule info. Location is not schedule but maybe we can keep location in About the role. Let's keep schedule separate: two days remote, three days onsite
