About the role

As the Director of Business Development, you will lead high-stakes, end-to-end campaign pursuits designed to continually build capabilities addressing eligibility, identifying & mitigating improper payments, fraud mitigation, auditing, and creating process & personnel efficiencies associated with benefits (health, legal, and financial). You’ll collaborate with customers and partners for must-win pursuits and drive measurable improvements in PWin, pipeline health, and long-range growth for the Benefits Integrity - BPO campaign. This role is for a growth leader who is relentless about outcomes, thrives in ambiguity, and can rally teams to win in complex government environments. Your success will be measured by the achievement of 1-, 3-, and 5-year tactical objectives tied to the creation of a higher quantity of contract wins. This position offers full-time telework (preference for candidates local to the DMV area).

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer and partner engagement for all campaign pursuits to deliver defined objectives.
  • Have an active hand in solutioning while shaping each pursuit’s “right-to-win”—identify and pursue pipeline opportunities that will define the campaign and focus resources accordingly.
  • Drive pursuit excellence throughout the Pursuit/Bid Teams—improving PWin through disciplined win strategies, clear value propositions, and competitive positioning.
  • Execute the customer relationship strategy across the campaign; execute call plans and engagement rhythms to produce outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of campaign branding and messaging with marketing/communications—ensure the campaign narrative is differentiated, credible, and compelling.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in government contracting (BD/capture/program/operations leadership).
  • Proven strength in winning large contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, matrixed teams to outcomes.
  • Strong capability in customer relationship building and senior-level stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills; comfortable briefing internally and externally.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet customers and industry partners as required.

Pay

Salary range for this position is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels. Actual base salary will be determined by factors including scope of the role, relevant experience, job-related knowledge, education and training, key skills, and geographic market considerations. For roles available in multiple states, the range may vary to reflect differences in local labor markets. In addition to base salary, eligible positions may include other forms of compensation such as annual bonuses or long-term incentive opportunities.
