Director – Business Development (International Funds)

About the role
This senior technical sales role supports a rapidly growing organization by leveraging deep expertise in European fund structures, regulatory frameworks, and marketing environments. The position focuses on guiding U.S. clients and sales directors, driving revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling services, and strengthening relationships with PE, RE, Debt, and Hedge fund clients. You will combine technical insight with commercial acumen to expand client engagement and achieve defined sales targets while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to shaping the European fund services offering, go-to-market strategy, and sales plan for U.S. fund managers.
- Develop, deliver, and monitor sales plans while driving new business opportunities and achieving revenue growth targets.
- Build and maintain feeder networks, particularly U.S.-based connections with strong European links, to expand market reach.
- Accompany sales and client directors to pitches and meetings as a subject matter expert on European fund and regulatory matters.
Requirements
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, backed by at least 5 years of senior experience in the Alternatives sector.
- Expert knowledge of European fund domiciles, structures, and regulatory frameworks, particularly AIFMD.
- Deep understanding of PE, RE, Debt, and Hedge fund environments to advise and influence effectively.
- Integrity, credibility, and commitment to organizational values, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication, IT, budgeting, and reporting skills.

Pay
$150,000 - $180,000, dependent on experience and location.
