Director, Business Development – Environmental Solutions (Houston)

Your mission is to expand market share, deepen executive-level client relationships, and position Jacobs as the partner of choice for environmental services within the energy and industrial sectors. You will lead client engagement, shape long-term account strategies, and ensure Jacobs is consistently in front of the right opportunities at the right time.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
You will need a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 15–20 years of experience in the environmental market or related industry, with a strong focus on business development, account management, or sales leadership.
Experienced in Houston-based energy, petrochemical, or industrial clients
A proven track record of building pipelines and winning new business with Houston-based energy, petrochemical, or industrial clients.
Existing executive-level relationships and the ability to open doors, expand influence, and advance Jacobs’ position in key accounts

Leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide account teams toward shared growth targets
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-year growth and capture strategies, identify, qualify, and prioritize opportunities that align with Jacobs’ business objectives, lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning, coach teams through client presentations and interviews, manage commercial negotiations and close high-value deals, and have strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide account teams toward shared growth targets.
Exceptional communication skills and executive presence with the ability to clearly articulate Jacobs’ value proposition
Experience managing large accounts or portfolios where relationship management, client strategy, and long-term positioning were central to success.

Pay Range
The base salary range for this position is $205,600.00 to $300,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
