Director – Business Development.
About the Role
InMobi is seeking a Director — Audience Network to identify, engage, and close partnerships with large US consumer platforms across commerce, travel, mobility, and payments. This senior individual contributor and business development role will focus on selling to CXOs at companies whose primary business is not advertising, framing partnerships as incremental, outcome-based revenue streams that protect data advantages.
Responsibilities
- Build and own the pipeline of US consumer platforms with established advertising businesses.
- Lead CXO-level conversations, positioning the partnership as a revenue-generating opportunity without compromising data control.
- Construct outcome-based commercial models, ensuring InMobi participates only when measurable value is created.
- Navigate integration discussions with technical and data stakeholders, addressing data access, attribution, budgeting, and reporting.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and solutions teams to tailor propositions to each platform's needs.
- Provide market intelligence to inform product development and leadership decisions.
- Develop the playbook for this new commercial motion as the first dedicated hire.
Requirements
- 8–15 years of experience in digital media, ad tech, commerce media, or platform partnerships.
- Proven track record of closing large, complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships with senior executives.
- Fluency in retail/commerce media, outcome-based buying, CPA, ROAS, closed-loop attribution, and first-party audience activation.
- Comfort with data and privacy topics, including clean rooms, identity, and data governance.
- Experience selling platforms or managed services, structuring revenue-share agreements, and build-vs-partner decisions.
- Existing relationships with US commerce, travel, mobility, or payments platforms are a significant advantage.
Skills
- Ability to sell by listening and advising, understanding a platform's ad P&L and strategic constraints.
- Comfort with long sales cycles (6–12 months) and navigating organizational dynamics in companies where advertising is a secondary business.
- Sharp commercial instincts for building business cases, modeling incremental revenue, and defending margin splits.
- Credibility with C-suite executives in discussions about business and data strategy.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable building playbooks from scratch.
- Low ego, high output, with the ability to collaborate across product, engineering, data science, and global teams.
Pay
The base salary (fixed) pay range for this role is $168,350 to $233,100 USD. In addition, the role may include variable pay in the form of an annual or quarterly bonus/sales incentive, as well as equity in the form of Employee Stock Options (ESOPs).
Benefits
- High-quality medical, dental, and vision insurance (including company-matched HSA)
- 401(k) company match
- Generous combination of vacation time, sick days, special occasion time, and company-wide holidays
- Substantial maternity and paternity leave benefits
- Flexible working hours
- Wellness stipend
- Free lunch provided in offices daily
- Pet-friendly work environment and robust pet insurance policy
