Responsibilities
- Originate and close new distribution-connected projects across storage, fuel cell, solar, EV charging, and microgrid projects
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with go-to-market plans and revenue targets
- Identify and engage prospects through targeted outreach and stakeholder mapping
- Build strong client relationships, understand needs, and deliver tailored solutions
- Lead proposal development, presentations, and client communications aligning with company brand
- Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate opportunities and structure compelling solutions
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in CRM systems
- Lead internal BD meetings with clear objectives and follow-through
- Champion projects through the full sales and development lifecycle
Qualifications
- Proven experience (minimum of 3+ years) originating and closing complex energy deals with large C&I customers and/or utilities
- Experienced in energy industry with understanding of electricity markets, distributed generation, and energy infrastructure (ideally BESS) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage full sales cycles and multiple concurrent deals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to craft clear, compelling narratives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with financial models
- Ability to work cross-functionally and engage stakeholders from technical teams to the C-suite
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to operate with autonomy
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
