What You'll Need for Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required.
- 7 – 10 years related professional work experience in finance.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing, justifying and reviewing complex budgets for multiple teams and programs.
- Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP Financial Systems.
- Experience managing all budgeting activities of an organization.
- Knowledge of: Budgeting and forecasting for multiple teams and funding sources, State Accounting Manual & Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Skills Enhancement Fund (SEF) agreements and their impact on budgeting, accounting, audit and compliance.
- Ability to: Analyze and solve complex accounting/budget issues, Accurately analyze data and apply GAAP, Use sound judgment to apply established laws, regulations, and guidelines, Make informed decisions within established objectives and boundaries, Elevate non-routine or policy-imaging issues for discussion, Exercise extensive judgment to direct and guide discussion regarding large, complex budgets across multiple teams and programs, Process highly detailed documents and solve complex problems, Align and support program managers through strong communication and explanation of business strategy, Navigate differing opinions and resolve areas of controversy, Effectively communicate both orally and in writing, in a collaborative fashion, Establish effective working relationships across departments and with external stakeholders, Use strong organizational skills to keep work well structured and prepared, Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary
The salary range for this position is $80,011 – $93,000, commensurate with education and work experience.
