Director and Open Rank Professor, Health Sciences

About the role

This is a twelve-month, full-time non-tenure-track faculty position that will be the Director and faculty member of a new Health Sciences academic program within National Louis University. The Director and Open Rank Professor of Health Sciences will be responsible for overall leadership in the implementation and management of the new program.

Responsibilities

• Provide Students with Exceptional Learning Experiences
• Provide academic and administrative leadership
• Work extensively with external partners
• Lead course development and maintenance
• Hire and supervise faculty
• Provide oversight to practica experience
• Work across NLU departments to build the program, including enrollment, admissions, graduate programs, advising/coaching, career bridge, and student finance

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Health Sciences or related field, Doctorate Degree preferred
• Five plus (5+) years professional experience in higher education, particularly in settings working with diverse populations
• Demonstrated record of teaching excellence, ideally in a university or college setting
• Advanced proficiency in the utilization of technology and data systems for analysis and reporting purposes
• Advanced conflict management and negotiation skills across all populations - students, faculty, field supervisors, and partners
