Director, Ambulatory Revenue Cycle Operations
About the role
The Director of Ambulatory Revenue Cycle Operations will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of revenue cycle functions across medical group, urgent care, and occupational health service lines within BSMH. Oversees front-end revenue cycle performance, including patient access, registration, charge capture, denial prevention, and regulatory compliance. Partners closely with market and system clinical, operational, finance, and information technology leaders to optimize revenue integrity, improve financial performance, enhance patient financial experience, and ensure consistent application of policies, processes, and best practices across multiple ambulatory care settings. Partners with Revenue Cycle leadership to work with Ensemble and other key partners and vendors in the delivery of midcycle and back-end revenue cycle performance. Utilizes data analytics and key performance indicators to drive operational excellence, achieve productivity and cash collection goals, reduce denials, maintain compliance with payer and government regulations, and support organizational growth initiatives while leading high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The individual will work in a matrix environment with accountability to Medical Group and Revenue Cycle leadership.
