Job Summary
The Director of Ambulatory Services is responsible for setting strategic direction, providing leadership, and driving successful business models for top quality Ambulatory Services at John R. Oishei Children's Hospital.
About the Role
Serves as the Hospital Liaison with Corporate functions relative to Ambulatory Services. Serves as the primary interface with community and faculty physicians to meet the full range of physician needs. The Director is responsible for the improvement of patient, employee and physician satisfaction for Ambulatory Services, and will collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure overall satisfaction improvement.
Responsibilities
- Setting strategic direction and providing leadership for Ambulatory Services
- Driving successful business models for Ambulatory Services
- Interacting with internal and external stakeholders for the success of the hospital
- Non-clinical decision making with institutional and community physicians, nurses, hospital and university administrators at Kaleida Health
- Serving as the Hospital Liaison with Corporate functions relative to Ambulatory Services
- Serving as the primary interface with community and faculty physicians to meet the full range of physician needs
- Improving patient, employee and physician satisfaction for Ambulatory Services
- Collaborating with nursing leadership to ensure overall satisfaction improvement
- Promoting dynamic, effective leadership and team building
- Encouraging the development of accountability, responsibility and decision making in team members
Requirements
- BS in Nursing required
- MS in Nursing preferred
- Specialty Nursing Certification preferred
- Minimum of five to seven years experience in clinical practice management or hospital administration
- Extensive successful experience in business development, program development, growth, or service line management
- Thorough understanding of financial fundamentals of health care
- Excellent communication skills, ability to present effectively to large and diverse audiences
- Documented and accomplishments in the area of process and performance improvement
- Evidence of leadership, creativity, integrity, and problem solving
