The Director, Accounts Receivable role is based in the United States and is managed by a partner company. This leadership role oversees accounts receivable operations within a technology-enabled healthcare revenue cycle environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading strategic and operational management of AR functions
- Ensuring timely account resolution, improved financial outcomes, and continuous process optimization
- Maintaining efficient workflows, quality standards, and timely resolution of outstanding accounts
- Monitoring key performance indicators such as net accounts receivable days, aging reduction, high-dollar account resolution, and overall AR performance
- Leading, mentoring, and developing teams by providing coaching, feedback, training, and support
- Managing department workflows, identifying operational trends, and implementing process improvements to address challenges and improve efficiency
- Monitoring account activity and ensuring quality assurance standards are consistently maintained across operations
- Partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve client and payer escalations while maintaining strong relationships
- Analyzing AR performance data, identifying root causes of delays, and developing corrective actions to improve financial outcomes
- Aligning accounts receivable strategies with organizational objectives, contractual requirements, and client expectations
- Leading initiatives and projects focused on operational improvements, resource optimization, and sustainable performance growth
Requirements
- Strong accounts receivable and healthcare revenue cycle expertise, combined with proven leadership skills and the ability to drive operational improvements
- Extensive experience in accounts receivable management, healthcare revenue cycle operations, or related financial services environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Strong understanding of AR processes, account resolution strategies, payer interactions, and revenue cycle performance metrics
- Experience analyzing operational data, identifying trends, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence teams and senior partners
- Strong decision-making abilities with experience evaluating challenges, comparing solutions, and driving results
- Able to delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for strategic outcomes
- Experience managing programs, projects, and process improvement initiatives from planning through implementation
