  • Deliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reports with detailed variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets, forecasts, and prior-period performance.
  • Provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations to senior management based on financial trends and variances.
  • Support the annual 401(k) audit process, including workpaper preparation, coordination with plan auditors, and execution of quarterly internal compliance reviews.

  • Manage timely submission of regulatory compliance filings, including Census, Department of Labor, and Canadian Statistics Surveys.
  • Support the external financial statement audit by providing timely documentation, workpapers, and responses to auditor requests for all areas within scope of this role.
  • Foster strong collaboration across HR, Payroll, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of payroll and benefits transactions in Oracle.
  • Partner with Finance, Systems, and Technology teams on system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives; serve as a collaborative thought partner to stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and identify automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls within the accounting function.
  • Establish, document, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a geographically distributed accounting team with a people-first mindset; drive strategic hiring, clear goal setting, proactive performance management, and ongoing professional development.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the accounting team.
  • Lead special projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed to support organizational goals and strategic priorities.
