Direct Support Professional Senior - Behavior Modification Assistant
About the role
The Direct Support Professional Senior (Behavior Modification Assistant) is responsible for supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and/or co-occurring diagnoses. This role involves assessing individual needs, developing and implementing residential and habilitation support plans, evaluating outcomes, and responding therapeutically to individuals with challenging behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Assessing individual needs through direct care duties
- Developing and implementing residential and habilitation support plans
- Evaluating and documenting outcomes, modifying plans as needed
- Responding therapeutically using de-escalation strategies and positive behavior supports
- Ensuring the highest quality of life and personal growth for individuals served
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and/or co-occurring diagnoses
- Experience with verbal de-escalation strategies and working with individuals who exhibit aggressive behaviors
- Clear communication skills to understand and communicate complex services with community members, employers, and teams
- Basic math and computer skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to perform all physical/essential requirements with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Formal training/certification/education in related fields (CNA, PCA, Child Development, First Aid, CPR, etc.)
- Certified Nursing Assistant experience in group home, nursing home, assisted living, or similar settings

Schedule
Shifts available: Day, rotating (day/evening combination), or overnight. Shift differential is offered for hours between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
Pay
$24.54 - $31.43/hour
