Direct Support Professional-Residential

About the role

Support individuals in residential settings to promote independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support services to residents
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
• Monitor and record resident health and safety
• Engage in recreational and social activities to enhance well-being
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Passing of a background check and criminal history review

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of community resources and services
• Committed to promoting dignity and respect for all individuals

Skills

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer literacy
• First aid and CPR certification preferred
