About the role
The role involves providing direct support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential settings. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene and grooming
- Support with medication management
- Encourage social interaction and community integration
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment
- Document daily activities and progress
Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Must pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for some positions)
Skills
- Basic computer literacy
- First aid and CPR certification
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
