Job Responsibilities
- Manages residential homes/facilities as assigned
- Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support Employees
- Works assigned time in the residential home/facility
- Resolves employee issues and conducts performance reviews
- Ensures employees meet training requirements and attend required events
- Provides after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation
- Makes monitoring and providing feedback to employees in interactions and relationships with the people supported
- Ensures that people supported have a clean and maintained home and yard
- Carry out the responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Interviews, recommends for hiring, and trains employees
- Plans, assigns, directs work, reviews performance, rewards, motivates, promotes team performance, addresses complaints, and resolves problems
Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- An associate degree in a health-related area, or two years' experience in a health-related field preferred
- One year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
- A flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- A valid driver’s license
- CPR after certification
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening including a criminal background check, name check in registries, and drug screen
- Proof of employment history or references (if required)
- Valid driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle (if required for providing transportation for individuals)
