About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will support individuals with disabilities in their daily lives, assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, promoting well‑being, and helping them connect with their communities. This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and make a tangible difference.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities.

Requirements
- Valid NYS Driver’s License held for at least 18 months with a clean driving history.
- Successful completion of DDI’s Transportation Orientation.
- Ability to work the scheduled shifts (full‑time or part‑time).

Pay
Hourly rate $21.00 – $23.10 for qualified candidates; $19.00 per hour for new hires who do not meet the driver’s license requirement.
Schedule
- Full‑Time: Monday‑Friday, 8 am – 4 pm
- Part‑Time: Monday‑Friday, 10 am – 2 pm
- Part‑Time: Monday‑Friday, 11 am – 2 pm
Hiring Event
Brightway Living & Learning will hold a hiring event on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm at 75 Landing Meadow Rd, Smithtown, NY 11787. Interviews will be conducted for full‑time and part‑time DSP positions.
