Direct Support Professional - Hinsdale, NH

We are seeking a caring, patient, and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support for an engaging 16-year-old. This fun, kind-hearted teenager has a wonderful sense of humor, loves making people laugh, enjoys being around people, loves basketball, and listens to music daily. The ideal candidate will build a genuine connection with him while fostering independence, confidence, and community engagement. A primary focus will be replacing screen time with active, community-based experiences and skill-building routines.

Responsibilities

• Guide and prompt the individual to build independence with morning routines.
• Teach and support the individual in learning to prepare a simple breakfast independently.
• Plan and accompany the individual on community outings to parks, local events, and other fun activities to build social confidence.
• Encourage and participate in physical activities, such as playing basketball, going for walks, and exploring new experiences.
• Provide positive reinforcement and consistent support to help the individual reach personal development goals.

Requirements

• Patient, dependable, energetic, and passionate about working with teenagers.
• Demonstrates kindness, consistency, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to mentoring.
• Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is appreciated but not required; willingness to learn is essential.

Pay

$16.05 per hour
