Direct Support Professional / Group Home
About the role
Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) empowers individuals and strengthens communities through our mission. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll assist people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in completing daily tasks and achieving their goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in the home and community
- Aid with housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning
- Support personal care including bathing, dressing, toiletry, and changing diapers
- Transport clients to appointments and run errands
- Help plan and organize their schedule
- Document and report in the electronic health system of record
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols knowledge
- Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability
- Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn

Pay
$15.00/hour
Schedule
Saturday AM through Monday AM; Overnight stay is required during the rotation, but staff is off-duty and asleep for the night hours unless there is an emergency.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Entry-level, on-the-job training provided
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge: Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols
- Skills: Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability
- Technology: Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn
- Transportation: Reliable transportation, driver's license, and current auto insurance
