About the role
As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll play a meaningful role in providing direct programming and/or dietary, laundry, toileting, housekeeping, or other support to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct programming support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Assist with dietary needs, laundry, toileting, and housekeeping tasks.
- Deliver other essential support services as required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written.
- Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR (adult, child, and infant), and delegated nursing certifications (training provided if not already certified).
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
