Direct Support Professional FT & PT
About the role
This is an entry-level hourly role with benefits offered for those working more than 30 hours per week. Plus, you can do all of this with no prior experience—you’ll get paid training so you can succeed and feel fulfilled.
Responsibilities
- Works with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Aims to assist people in realizing their full potential
- Assists with everyday activities
- Supports people in improving their health, safety, and wellbeing
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to pass our paid training in CPR, First Aid and DSP orientation within 30 days of employment
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Must have responsible work ethic and good communication skills
- Must be compassionate and caring
- Requires 12 and 14 hour shifts, evenings, weekends. Overnight is required

Qualifications
Must not have any of the following violations within the last 5 years:
- Reckless driving, including speeding 20mph or more over the posted speed limit
- Driving under the influence/impaired/intoxicated or refusing a blood/breath test
- Manslaughter or negligent homicide
- Driving after being declared a habitual offender
- Driving on a suspended or revoked license
- Driving a commercial motor vehicle while disqualified, under the influence, with a blood alcohol level of .04 or higher, refusing a blood/breath test, or violating an out-of-service order
- Injuring a person while racing - felony
- Emergency vehicle violation - death
- Vehicular assault or willful stopping, impeding, or damaging a vehicle
- Blocking access to the service facility
- Attempting to elude police
- Operating an unsafe vehicle
- Vulnerable Road User – Death
Must not have any of the following violations within the last 3 years:
- Passing a stopped school bus
- Careless driving
- Three or more minor moving violations within the last three years
