Direct Support Professional (DSP) | Weekday Afternoons

Ameriwell Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

About the Role

Your day will begin by meeting the individual at their day program, accompanying them home, and providing caring supervision and support until their mother arrives home from work. This is a consistent afternoon schedule that makes a meaningful difference in someone's life.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM (10 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Pick up the individual from their day program
• Safely accompany them home
• Provide companionship and supervision
• Assist with daily routines as needed
• Help create a calm, positive, and supportive environment
• Ensure the individual's safety until family arrives

Requirements

• Caring, patient, and dependable
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD is preferred, but we will train the right person
• Excellent communication skills
• Must pass all required background checks
