Weekday Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Position Overview
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) position is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position from 2pm - 8pm and Thursday 7am-2pm, providing assistance and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to Pass Background Check & Drug Screening
- 2 Years of Experience
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
Responsibilities
- Help adults with disabilities complete ADLs, including bending, stooping, lifting, transfers etc.
- Dependable, Compassionate, Patient & Understanding
- Assist individuals with their daily living and independence skills and personal care needs, such as eating, dressing, and bathing
- Monitor Health and Medical needs
- Participate in activities and outings with clients
- Assist with scheduling and transportation needs
- Provide direct supervision to clients in a supportive and respectful manner
- Maintain and document client progress
- Follow safety and security protocols
- Time management skills
- Basic computer skills
