About the Role
Ameriwell Care is hiring a dependable, caring Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Stratford, NJ. This is a consistent 28-hour-per-week position supporting the same individual each week.
Schedule
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- 28 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support and companionship
- Assist with daily living activities and routines
- Support community outings and activities
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and organized home environment
- Encourage independence while providing assistance when needed
- Follow the individual's service plan and established routines
- Complete required shift documentation
- Communicate professionally with the individual, family, and Ameriwell Care team
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is patient, dependable, attentive, and genuinely enjoys helping others. The right DSP will understand that consistency and building a trusting relationship are an important part of providing great support. Experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
