Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Part-time and Weekends

About the Role

The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is seeking caring, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to empower individuals to achieve their goals, gain independence, and thrive at home and in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks
• Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.
• Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities
• Prepare meals, cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
• Transport individuals safely to appointments or social outings
• Encourage personal growth and achievement of goals
• Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress
• Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients
• Participate in required paid training and team meetings

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points)
• Proof of auto insurance
• Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings

Pay

$17.00 per hour (sleep shifts $13.00 per hour)

Schedule

• Part-time: weekend shifts and one day a week
• Anticipated hours: 12-20 hours per week
• 2nd & 3rd shifts (sleep & awake)
