Direct Support Professional (DSP)
About the role
Easterseals PORT Health is seeking compassionate, caring, and dedicated individuals to join our team as full-time or part-time Caregivers (DSPs). The positions are available in Greensboro, Whitsett, and Pleasant Garden, offering flexible schedules including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges in daily activities, employment support, and social engagement.
- Ensure clients' days are meaningful through daily documentation.
- Transport clients to local community activities in a residential group home setting.
- Help individuals gain skills for greater independence at home, in their program, or in the community.
Requirements
- A willingness to provide care in various community settings.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Current auto insurance.
- A background check and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
Qualifications
- Essential skills for this position include CPR / First Aid, Mindset, Medication Administration, Infectious Disease, and Seizure Management.

- Greensboro: Flexible schedule, weekdays, evenings and weekends.
- Whitsett: Flexible schedule, weekdays, evenings and weekends.
