About the role

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking compassionate, caring, and dedicated individuals to join our team as full-time or part-time Caregivers (DSPs). The positions are available in Greensboro, Whitsett, and Pleasant Garden, offering flexible schedules including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges in daily activities, employment support, and social engagement.
  • Ensure clients' days are meaningful through daily documentation.
  • Transport clients to local community activities in a residential group home setting.
  • Help individuals gain skills for greater independence at home, in their program, or in the community.

Requirements

  • A willingness to provide care in various community settings.
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Current auto insurance.
  • A background check and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Qualifications

  • Essential skills for this position include CPR / First Aid, Mindset, Medication Administration, Infectious Disease, and Seizure Management.

Schedule

  • Greensboro: Flexible schedule, weekdays, evenings and weekends.
  • Whitsett: Flexible schedule, weekdays, evenings and weekends.
  • Pleasant Garden: Weekdays from 11am to 6pm.

  • A competitive hourly rate starting at $15/hr.
