Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About the role

Ameriwell Care is seeking an experienced, energetic, and dependable Direct Support Professional to support an active young man living in Toms River, New Jersey. The position involves 32–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, beginning at 8:00 AM sharp. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is active, engaging, and interested in helping the individual enjoy meaningful experiences while developing greater independence.

Responsibilities

• Accompany participant around the community for activities, events, walks, shopping, and recreational outings
• Work on life skills, independence, and community participation
• Provide safe and reliable transportation to community locations
• Assist with health-related devices and follow care instruction

Qualifications

• Active, patient, responsible, and dependable
• Comfortable spending most days participating in community activities
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and safe driving record

Schedule

Monday through Friday, beginning at 8:00 AM sharp; 32–40 hours per week.
