DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) – 3 Day Work Week, 12 Hours/Shift

About the role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. You will work closely with them, assisting with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings. You will foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices, promote social inclusion by supporting participation in community activities, and serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.

• Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of DSPs, supervisors, and families.

Requirements

• A valid NYS Driver's License for 18+ months with a clean driving history and successful completion of Brightway Living and Learning Transportation Orientation.
• New hires that do not meet these criteria will be offered a lower rate, starting at $19.00/hour.

Pay

• Average Hourly Rate for DSP Drivers (including weekend shift): $24.50 – $26.95/hour.

Schedule

• Shifts Available: (WOW Program) Thursday-Saturday: 7AM-8PM (39hours)
• Tuesday-Thursday: 7AM-7PM (36hours)
• Thursday-Saturday:9AM-9PM (36hours)
• Wednesday, Friday: 7AM-7PM, Saturday: 7AM-8PM (36hours)
• Sunday-Tuesday: 7AM-7PM (36hours)
• Thursday-Saturday: 7AM-7PM (36hours)
