Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Afternoon/Evening Shift (3PM–11PM)

About the role

Ameriwell Care New Jersey is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an older adult male in a respectful, structured, and supportive environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others build independence, maintain routine, and live with dignity.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Consistent, steady hours

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily routines and evening schedule
• Providing companionship and positive engagement
• Supporting community activities and outings (as applicable)
• Meal prep assistance and light household support
• Promoting independence, safety, and personal goals
• Assisting with hygiene reminders and personal care (as needed)
• Documenting daily notes and reporting changes to the supervisor
• Following individualized support plans and maintaining professionalism

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is reliable and punctual, patient, calm, and respectful, comfortable working with an older individual, able to maintain structure and routine, a strong communicator with families and supervisors, and committed to providing high-quality care.

Requirements

• Must be 18+
• Valid driver's license (preferred)
• Ability to pass background checks
• DSP experience is a plus (but not required—we can train the right person)
• Must be able to work the full scheduled shift consistently
