Direct Support Professional - Day Programs

Join a compassionate team at Living Resources and empower individuals with disabilities to live with dignity, independence, and happiness. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll collaborate with families and provide exceptional care while making a real difference in people’s lives.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in community and on-site day programs to achieve their short- and long-term goals
• Assist with activities both on-site and in the community, including volunteering and skill-building
• Provide reliable, attentive care tailored to each individual’s needs
• Transport individuals to community activities and appointments (requires valid NYS Driver’s License)
• Perform all required physical tasks, including lifting, repositioning, and transferring individuals without restriction

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid NYS Driver’s License (for transporting individuals)
• High school diploma or GED
• Compassionate, patient, adaptable, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment

Pay

$18.25 – $19.25/hour (based on program)

Schedule

• Day Community Opportunity Program (Rensselaer County): Full-time or part-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• East Greenbush Site Base Day Habilitation Program: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
