Direct Support Professional - Day Program

About the role

The role involves providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Encourage social interaction and participation in group activities
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for participants
• Document participant progress and communicate with supervisors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
• Passing a background check
