Direct Support Professional - Community Integration Specialist

About the role

Join us in our mission as a Direct Support Professional – Community Integration Specialist at Catholic Charities Disabilities Services. You will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through person-centered community engagement and support.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead person-centered community engagement activities that reflect individuals’ goals, preferences, and Life Plans.
• Coordinate and follow structured recreation plans, incorporating individual input and adapting to program needs as appropriate.
• Facilitate access to community resources and opportunities while promoting inclusion, social connections, and relationship building.

Requirements

• Consent to a full criminal background check and fingerprinting.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Complete paid training requirements within 90 days of employment, including:
  • 4 days of Orientation
  • SCIP, CPR/First Aid certification
  • Medication Administration Certification, including successful completion of medication pours

Pay

$20.00/hour

Schedule

Tuesday – Saturday, 11am–7pm (some flexibility with hours needed).
