Direct Support Professional - Behavior Support

About the role

GoodLife Innovations is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide care and companionship for adults with disabilities who have behavioral support needs.

Responsibilities

• Support positive behaviors
• Teach communication skills
• Maintain health and hygiene for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist with client goals and personal care needs

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Pass criminal background check
• Have a valid driver's license and safe driving record (day positions only)
• Able to lift up to 50lbs to physically assist individuals
• Flexibility in assigned working location based on client needs

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or direct support experience, ideally in a residential or therapeutic setting
• Experience working with clients with aggressive or disruptive behaviors
• Training in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques

Schedule

• Front-Half (Sun-Wed): 7am-7pm or 8am-8pm
• Midweek (Wed/Thu/Fri): 7am-7pm or 8am-8pm
• Back-Half (Wed-Sat): 7pm-7am or 8pm-8am

Pay

This pay range represents GoodLife's average range for this role at the time of posting. Compensation offered will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, shift type and program location.
