Direct Support Professional - Awake overnight

Connections Services, LLC provides caregiver services to individuals who are developmentally disabled. All group homes are located in the Bloomington, MN area.

About the role

We are looking for Direct Support Professionals to work overnight shifts with our residents at several Bloomington homes. Current overnight shift availability is Sunday–Wednesday, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver services to residents, including personal cares when appropriate and necessary
• Teach and maintain skills
• Assist with cooking, meal preparation, and feeding
• Support residents with hobbies, studies, and social activities
• Participate in the development of Individual Program Plans
• Administer medications
• Engage in fun recreational activities with residents

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid US driver’s license
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to perform personal cares for residents, including bathing, toileting, dressing, administering medications, and lifts

Qualifications

• No degree required
• High School diploma or equivalent
• No prior experience necessary; full training provided

Pay

Starting salary: $17.00–$18.00 per hour. Pay frequency is biweekly.

Connections Services LLC uses E-Verify and will conduct a Minnesota Department of Human Services Background Study on all new employees. Employees in driving positions will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle Background check. Continued employment is contingent on a cleared background study and a satisfactory MVR.
