Direct Support Professional

Location: Clarks Summit, PA

Pay Range: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

About the role

Traditional Home Care, a locally owned and operated Home Care Agency, is seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral diagnoses, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
• Provide companionship
• Use appropriate communication and social skills
• Perform light housekeeping and chores
• Ensure a safe environment and teach basic safety skills
• Help meet individual goals and outcomes
• Promote community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
• Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) as mandated by the 21st Century Cures Act
• Reliable internet access

Schedule

• Weekdays and weekends
• 12-hour, 10-hour, 8-hour, and 4-hour shifts
• Full-time and part-time positions
• After school, day, night, overnight, and holiday shifts
