Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities
• Support individuals with behavioral challenges and complex needs
• Help participants achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
• Facilitate community integration and participation in favorite activities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
• Valid driver’s license with at least one year of active driving history
• If the current license was issued less than one year ago, candidates must provide a motor vehicle record, previous license, or other acceptable documentation demonstrating continuous valid licensure for at least one year
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance

Pay

$17.11 per hour

Union Dues: 0.5% per paycheck
