About the role

Direct Support Professionals are the backbone of MRI. They assist individuals in gaining freedom and independence by helping with daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily tasks such as waking up, preparing breakfast, and engaging in activities like shooting hoops.
• Support individuals in achieving their goals and enhancing their quality of life.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of Direct Support Person training in accordance with state regulations
• Maintain status on the Habilitation Aid Registry
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a desire to give back to the community

Qualifications

• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Access to a phone or ability to be contacted outside of work

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy
