Direct Support Professional
About the Role
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in Redding, CA. DSPs interact and support individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, including community, family or individual homes, generic community settings, and Adult Training Facilities. The role involves assisting with direct care and implementing behavior plans to enhance health, safety, dignity, and contentment. DSPs also assist and train individuals in personal care, communication, and social skill development.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a verifiable High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Dual Diagnosis experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- At least six months of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on behavioral services.
- Required to complete DSP 1 and DSP 2 certification within 1 year of hire.
- Required to complete RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification within 1 year of hire.
Pay
Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, increasing by $2 per hour upon obtaining RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification.
