Direct Support Professional

About the role

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team at our program in Plymouth Meeting, PA. If you are a Caregiver, Direct Care Worker, Home Health aide or always wanted to be one, this is the opportunity for you as we are hiring immediately!

Responsibilities

• Create long-term impacts on consumers' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals
• Spend days in a variety of settings including parks and sensory gardens, working on social and communication skills
• Enhance independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care
• Foster a sense of pride by teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry
• Follow the Individual Support Plan to guide daily activities

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential

Pay and schedule

• Pay Rate: Earn up to $16.75/hour with election of Enhanced Pay option
• Shifts available: Wednesday - Friday 2pm - 10pm, Saturday 7:30am-11:30pm
