Direct Support Professional

The Role

Mains’l Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual in his home. Key responsibilities include providing supports with Activities of Daily Living, transportation, attending medical appointments, maintaining a safe environment, teaching life skills, offering companionship, and documenting care.

What You Will Do

• Support with Activities of Daily Living including personal cares
• Transportation to various appointments and activities
• Attend and relay necessary information for medical appointments
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming living environment
• Complete household responsibilities such as laundry, housekeeping, and meal preparation
• Teach and reinforce valuable life skills
• Provide companionship, guidance, and advocacy
• Accurately document care to ensure continuity of support

Location and Schedule

Hastings, MN
Awake overnight: 9pm-7am

Compensation

$28.00/hour

Requirements

• Commitment to learning
• Patience and flexibility
• Ability to provide support using Person Centered Practices
• Strong teamwork skills
• Comfortable communicating what is working and what is not working
• At least 18 years of age
• A valid MN driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check through DHS
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Positive Behavioral Supports / Behavioral Intervention Techniques
• Complex Medical conditions
• Communication Devices
