Direct Support Professional

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that helps people with developmental disabilities build skills, connect with their communities, and reach their goals. This role delivers meaningful community experiences by working alongside local businesses, volunteer groups, and other community partners to help individuals with disabilities become active, valued members of their community. It is a hands-on, dynamic role that combines direct teaching, mentoring, and advocacy with the opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct teaching, mentoring, and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Collaborate with local businesses, volunteer groups, and community partners to create inclusive opportunities.
• Support individuals in building skills and achieving personal goals within the community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Associates Degree or CNA License preferred).
• Two years of related experience.

Pay

$15.00 - $16.50 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

Full-time, Non-exempt, Monday–Friday.

Location: Abingdon, VA.
