The Enhanced Acuity Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties, such as natural environment training, skills-based treatment, data collection, and intensive intervention services. The Enhanced Acuity Technician provides direct support to individuals who reside at Damar Services and assists the treatment team, including the Manager, Supervisor, and Director, in the evaluation of clinical services.

Responsibilities

  • Client supervision and care
  • Crisis management
  • Promoting appropriate social behaviors
  • Supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential
  • Demonstrates confidence when making decisions in the moment regarding Skills Based Treatment
  • Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure-related items in a timely manner
  • Attends mandatory staff meetings and other meetings as assigned
  • Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops as recommended by the Enhanced Acuity leadership team
  • Provides direct services to children
  • Provides support to clients in completing programming goals, ADLs, and independent living goals
  • Operates Damar vehicles and/or personal vehicles to transport clients or perform other work-related duties
  • Completes incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client
  • Serves as a member of Damar Services’ interdisciplinary team

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 to work in our Children's Residential program (other Direct Support Professional roles available for those between 18-21)
  • Provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening

Schedule

  • Day shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM with weekend rotation)
  • Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with weekend rotation)

Pay

Starting pay: $15.25 an hour (pay for experience and education)
