Responsibilities
- Provide overnight supervision and support in the individual's home
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the individual throughout the shift
- Assist with personal care as needed
- Monitor for behavioral or medical concerns and follow established support plans
- Complete required documentation and progress notes accurately and timely
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
- Communicate effectively with family members, agency staff, and support team members
- Follow all agency policies, NJ DDD regulations, Danielle's Law, and incident reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Experience working with individuals who have behavioral support needs is highly desirable
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the overnight shift
