Direct Support Professional

About the role

We are looking for a proactive employee to assist participants with their personal needs and Activities of Daily Living (ADL); monitoring their health and safety; helping them to increase self-advocacy, decision making, and community connections.

Responsibilities

• Supporting participants with activities of daily living (ADL)
• Encouraging skill building activities
• Monitoring health and safety
• Building advocacy, decision making, and community connections
• Encouraging participant engagement in social networks and communities

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• One year experience working with people with disabilities in a certified residential setting preferred

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid drivers license and transportation necessary to meet program needs
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds
