Direct Support Professional ($2,500 Incentive and NEW starting wage)

About the role

Citizen Care Inc., a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., provides residential, day program, habilitation, supported employment opportunities and behavioral support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization is a non-profit accredited by the Council on Quality & Leadership, with locations throughout the West Hills and South Hills of Allegheny County. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) assists individuals with their activities of daily living in a residential home setting.

Responsibilities

• Helping people to realize their hopes and dreams
• Personal hygiene needs, including bathing and toileting
• Medical appointments
• Administering prescribed medications
• Meal preparation, cooking and following prescribed diet
• Household chores such as laundry, vacuuming and dusting
• Participating in community life such as shopping, leisure activities and visiting family and friends
• Providing supervision to assure safety and welfare

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Reliable means of transportation
• Driver's license preferred
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions
• Act 34 and, if applicable, FBI clearances
• Experience is not required

Pay

$19.00 per hour
