Access Services is seeking a caring, patient, and compassionate DSP (Direct Support Professionals) for Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities to support individuals in the Levittown, Morrisville, Langhorne and Bristol areas. Full and Part-time schedules available, and shift options range from 9AM to 5PM on weekdays and Saturdays. We are looking for dependable individuals who enjoy helping others and are comfortable with providing personal care and assisting with daily living activities. As a Direct Support Professional, you will support adults with developmental disabilities and autism in living meaningful, fulfilling lives. You'll provided hands-on support both in their homes and throughout the community. Your daily actions as a Direct Support Professional will enable each individual to flourish in their desired home context, maintain or increase their independence, and live their best lives. Paid training is provided by Access Services, so no experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with developmental intellectual disabilities in the region where you serve.
• Provide creative support through a variety of tasks, activities and/or community engagement.
• Provide direct services to individuals in their own homes or in their natural family homes.
• Provide supports as outlined in the individual's plan of care utilizing approved interventions (including safe crisis management techniques, emotional support, and positive reinforcement).
• Maintain appropriate case notes for the individuals served.
• Engage in supervision, training, and professional development.

Requirements

• Must meet all qualifying and ongoing job criteria including background checks, physical examination, and a driving history record.
• Driving Requirements:
  • Valid US driver's license for at least two years (not including time with permit).
  • No serious traffic convictions within the past three years (serious convictions include DUI, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or three or more traffic violations and/or at-fault accidents within that period).
  • Access to a reliable vehicle during work hours.
  • Vehicle must have valid registration and inspection stickers.
  • Valid auto insurance; must provide proof that you are a covered driver on the policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of direct care experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
