Direct Support Associate

About the role

Easterseals NH is looking for a Direct Support Associate (DSA) to join our Community Based Services team! This program supports individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs living within our residential homes.

Schedule

• Full time 40 hours a week
• Sunday–Wednesday 9 p.m.–7 a.m.
• Asleep overnight position

Pay

$15.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Promote independence, create a safe environment, and provide companionship to clients in a residential home setting
• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration
• Assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility support
• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events
• Follow each individual’s care plan
• Undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety
• Complete required daily documentation on a computer or tablet
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience providing direct support or direct care (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
